WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SSI & PADI?

There is almost no difference in the actual training. The quality of the scuba diving course strongly depends on your dive instructor no matter what organization you should choose to certify with. In terms of dive training, there is very little difference between SSI and PADI. They both follow the diving standards set by WRSTC (World Recreational Scuba Training Council) meaning that knowledge and skill requirements are almost the same. Certifications at any level below Divemaster are interchangeable. The certification received from either organization is recognized and accepted worldwide. In just a matter of days you can open the door to a new passion which will last you for a lifetime. This is the basic entry-level program and is all you need to dive without direct professional supervision. You and your dive buddies will be able to go off adventuring alone, or join a group of other divers with a Divemaster if you like.
You will cover all of the basics of scuba diving from physics and physiology, equipment, gas management, through to underwater communications, understanding marine life and dive planning.
Over the course of 2-3 days your instructor will guide you to full understanding of everything you need to know what to do to remain safe underwater, and have a great time. You’ll be a knowledgeable diver in no time.
With this certification, a new universe opens up to you and you can then explore the ocean up to 18 meters anywhere in the world.
During this course, you will learn the basics of scuba diving, the different techniques specific to this activity, you will familiarize yourself with the equipment and learn how to use it safely. Your Open Water certification is recognized all over the world, by all organizations (SSI, PADI, NAUI, CMAS, ANMP, BSAC, RAID, SDI, etc.).

You will go with an Instructor to Monad Shoal where we will begin to enhance your buoyancy skills to get you prepared for Kimud Shoal.  After Monad Shoal we go to Kimud Shoal for 2 dives.  3 dives for only 7,499php. We are trying our best to preserve Kimud Shoal at all costs and advanced buoyancy control is a must! After 20 years of diving at Monad Shoal to see the thresher sharks, they moved to Kimud Shoal 3 years ago. We are trying our best to keep Kimud Shoal beautiful and intact, for years to come!

THRESHER SHARK ADVENTURE DIVES FOR OPEN WATER DIVERS**

Prerequisites:

You are at least 10 years old and you have at least the Open Water Junior level or equivalent, then you can enroll in the SSI Advanced Open Water training is the equivalent of the PADI Advanced Open Water.
During this training, if you are over 12 years old, you will discover the pleasures of deep diving (30 meters for those over 15 years old, 21 meters for 12-14 year old’s, and maximum 12 meters for children under 12 years old).
You will also develop your knowledge of navigation and buoyancy control. You will be able to visit wrecks, use a dive computer, begin to recognize and identify the different species of fish, corals and underwater plants.
